Omar was elected as a new voice to the Dallas City Council in 2017, representing the diverse and culturally-rich neighborhoods of District 6. For more than 90 years, Council Member Narvaez’s family has lived in District 6, including the Ledbetter, La Loma and Bachman Lake neighborhoods.

Omar’s years of public service as a community leader have earned him a reputation as a great listener and hard worker who gets things done.
