Created three business crime watch organizations
Passed a cruising ordinance in Northwest Dallas to combat human trafficking and prostitution by targeting the pimps and johns while providing resources to help the sex workers get off the streets
Successfully passed $5.9 million to build a new fire station in West Dallas and approved $750,000 for rehabilitation repairs for a Northwest Dallas fire station
Successfully got the Lakewest DPD storefront full staffed through advocacy to DPD
Shut down more than 25 drug houses throughout District 6
Ended criminal elements in nearly 10 apartment complexes in the Bachman Neighborhood via community prosecutor’s office
Started the closing of the Han Gil Moteltown with community prosecutors, which became an FBI case with the conviction of the owners who have been brought to justice and freeing more than 30 women being human trafficked and ending the drug trafficking in this notorious hotel
Increased street lighting across Arcadia Park, West Dallas and Design District, which has helped to stop drug deals and prostitution and other criminal elements in our neighborhoods
Raised starting pay for first-responders
Successfully navigated the planned gas outage in Midway Hollow, keeping 3,200 families safe

Helped create a call center network of nonprofits and closed city amenities like library and recreation staff to call seniors to check in on them to offer resources and to help prevent isolation and loneliness
Advocated for all city programming to be senior-friendly
Saved the senior center inside the West Dallas Multipurpose Center
Created a senior citizen sidewalk repair program
Partnered with the Texas Ramp Project to install or replace ramps

Passed first-ever business district Neighborhood Empowerment Zone for small and medium businesses
Successfully advocated and increased minimum wage and improved health care benefits for city employees
Worked to approve workforce development programs for lower and medium-income residents
Passed English learning programs for resident at Bachman and West Dallas Branch Libraries
Initiated programs for formerly incarcerated persons to be able to find living-wage jobs
Successfully negotiated $15-an-hour minimum wage for a new Amazon distribution facility, bringing 1,500 full-time jobs into our community
Brought Nokia North American headquarters to Cypress Waters, offering more than 500 jobs

Passed eviction moratorium ordinance for families affected by COVID-19
Passed rental and mortgage assistance payment programs to pay directly to landlords and mortgage companies
Successfully advocated having Dallas Water Utilities stop shut off of service for those who fell behind until the pandemic ends
Passed out more than $100,000 in PPE and hand sanitizer to neighborhood nonprofits, churches and benefits to help our community stay safe
Helped lead the effort to thank, feed and support our healthcare heroes and first responders during the pandemic
Brought a permanent testing site to West Dallas at the multi-purpose center, partnering with Parkland Hospital and many pop-up locations throughout District 6
Helped pass small business loans for local businesses to help them survive the shutdown
Hosted many virtual town halls on COVID-19 to educate people on resources, personal safety and current vaccine rollout
Set up vaccination registration hubs with local nonprofits and churches, as well as with local elected officials.

Helped pass an ordinance to commemorate June as Pride Month in Dallas annually in June and fly the official City of Dallas Pride Flag at City Hall
Advocated and added fully comprehensive healthcare benefits, including gender-affirming surgeries for transgender employees
Earned a 100% score all four years serving on council for the HRC’s Municipal Equality Index

Appointed by Mayor Johnson as Chair of the first Environmental Committee and passed the City's first Environmental Plan (CECAP)
As the Chair of the Environmental Committee worked with Council Member Atkins and other members of the committee to clean up Shingle Mountain
Passed pro-environment policies to protect our air, water and trees.
Successfully lobbied and brought home $350 million for new pump stations along the Trinity.
